1. Who we are

Pagivo PDF is a free online PDF tool service. Contact: Kontakt.

2. What data we collect

Files you upload

Files uploaded for processing are held in memory or temporary server storage only for the duration of your request. They are deleted immediately after processing is complete. We do not read, index, or share the contents of your files.

Account data

If you create an account, we store your email address and (optionally) your name. Passwords are stored using a strong one-way hash (scrypt). Google sign-in users have no password stored; we receive only the data Google provides at sign-in.

Usage data

We log aggregate tool usage counts (total files processed, no content). Server access logs include IP addresses and are retained for 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes only.

Cookies

We set one functional cookie (pagivo_locale) to remember your preferred language.

3. How we use your data

• To process the PDF or image operation you requested.
• To authenticate you if you have an account.
• To send transactional emails (password reset, receipt for Ask PDF credits) if applicable.
• To prevent abuse and maintain service availability.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

• Google OAuth -optional sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe -payment processing for Ask PDF credits. We never store card numbers. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Cloud infrastructure provider -infrastructure hosting. Servers are located in the EU.

5. Your rights (GDPR / EU residents)

If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any right, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

• Uploaded files: deleted immediately after processing is complete.
• Account data: retained until you delete your account.
• Server logs: retained for 30 days.
